The terms that apply when you buy from SmileCam.
These terms apply when you buy from the SmileCam website, run by Smile Cam, referred to as “we” or “us”. By placing an order you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply where you live.
Prices and payment
- Prices are displayed in the currency selected for your market. Any tax or duty that Shopify calculates for your order is shown at checkout.
- Standard delivery for one camera is charged at the market equivalent of A$9.95; your exact local-currency amount is shown at checkout. Delivery is free for the 2-pack and 4-pack.
- Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify Payments or the payment method you choose. Payment details are handled by your selected payment provider.
- We can change prices at any time, but not for an order you’ve already placed.
Orders
- Your order is accepted when we send the confirmation email. If we can’t supply an item, for example because it’s out of stock or the price was listed in error, we’ll tell you and refund you in full.
- Please check your delivery address at checkout. See the shipping policy for delivery times and what happens if a parcel is late or lost.
Returns and warranty
You have 30 days to change your mind, damaged or faulty items are eligible for replacement or refund, and every camera carries a 3-year warranty against manufacturing faults. The details, and the consumer guarantees that apply in your location, are in the returns and warranty policy.
Using the camera
- SmileCam is for watching your own property from inside your own window. You’re responsible for using it lawfully, including where you point it and whether you record audio. Our know the rules page is a plain-English starting point; it’s general information, not legal advice.
- The camera uses the O-KAM Pro app, which is provided by its developer under their own terms and privacy policy. Optional paid services in the app, such as cloud backup and additional detection features, are sold by the app developer, not by us.
- Performance through glass depends on your window and the light outside. Colour night vision needs some light outside. We describe this honestly on the site; if in doubt, ask us before you buy.
Your rights
For Australian customers, nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including rights for a major failure. For customers outside Australia, nothing excludes or limits mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country or region, including cancellation and legal guarantee rights in the United Kingdom and European Union. The website
The content, photos and design of this site belong to us. Don’t copy them for commercial use. We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will be error-free at all times.
Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in the privacy policy.
Law
To the extent permitted by law, these terms are governed by the applicable laws of Australia. This does not exclude mandatory laws or consumer protections that apply where you live.
